Jade Valerie

Jade Valerie (杰德·薇樂莉),全名Jade Valerie Villalon,于2007年九月離開SWEETBOX。在2000年--2006年期間,Jade促使了SWEETBOX在亞洲乃至國際的揚(yáng)名。
Jade不但是一位獨(dú)唱歌手,她還尤為擅長作曲、作詞、音樂制作,比如令S.H.E走紅的《Superstar》的曲子就是由Jade與其音樂制作人GEO共同創(chuàng)作的。而像S.H.E翻唱的《Remember》《愛情的海洋》《Always On My Mind》等歌曲中都融合了Jade的創(chuàng)作成分。2004年,S.H.E公司赤資300萬力邀Jade、GEO為S.H.E創(chuàng)作了新歌《我愛你》,Jade的制作人GEO還擔(dān)當(dāng)了《痛快》的編曲。這兩首歌曲收錄在SHE的專輯中。Jade還親自演繹了《我愛你》的英文版--More Than Love。
日本天后濱崎步在聽過了SWEETBOX的精選專輯后,對(duì)Jade的歌曲大加贊賞,并也邀請(qǐng)Jade、GEO為其一共創(chuàng)作了六首歌曲,這些歌曲都由Jade演繹了英文版。
2007年春季,Jade創(chuàng)作了單曲Crush,并與韓國流行音樂藝人白智英合唱,Jade演唱了歌曲的英文部分。這首歌曲作為白智英的單曲專輯在韓國發(fā)行。
像大家所熟悉的Don't Push Me、Life Is Cool、Addicted等歌曲在韓國大受歡迎,這三首歌曲都引用了古典的旋律作為曲子的基調(diào),與流行音樂元素的融合可謂是完美至極。其中,Don't Push Me還被中國的勁舞團(tuán)游戲收錄,令玩家耳目一新,印象深刻。值得一提的是,Jade還受邀演唱了影音游戲“最終幻想”的國際版主題曲--1000 Words。從某一點(diǎn)來講,這些歌曲反映出了Jade的成長過程和她在音樂創(chuàng)作領(lǐng)域的不斷探索。
今年10月12日,日本環(huán)球唱片公司發(fā)行了Jade首張個(gè)人專輯--OUT OF THE BOX,這是一張“迷你版專輯”,專輯中收錄了八首歌曲。主打歌Just Another Day描述了Jade離開SWEETBOX的緣由,并充分表露出Jade對(duì)歌迷的感謝與祝福。

While still very young, JADE VALERIE is hardly new to the entertainment industry - aside from her mega successful career as the the singer and writer of SWEETBOX, JADE filmed her first TV commercial at 5, she then ventured onto BROADWAY and then onto HOLLYWOOD. She has a meaty resume in TV, including top shows RESCUE 911, TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, several movies of the week and a guest star spots on several music videos including TLC’s “Unpretty.” While acting and theatre were a great introduction to the industry, Jade wanted more, she wanted to write and sing.
As SWEETBOX JADE has released records from 2000 untill 2007. The music that she wrote with her musical partner GEO sold millions of albums, singles and downloads. Over the years Jade has received dozens of accolades, and awards. Crowned as Asia’s number 1 cross over artist, she has recieved many gold and platinum records (even a 4multiple platinum one in Korea). She was also awarded the Digital Cyworld Award for being Korea’s all time best selling international download artist (more than 1,000,000 downloads). Jade and Geo have loaned their songs and sound to artists such as S.H.E., AYUMI HAMASAKI, SKYE SWEETNAM, BAEK JI YOUNG etc. or brands such as COCA COLA, SUBARU, KERASYS, HYUNDAI TELEMATICS, etc. JADE also enjoyed joining forces with SQUARE ENIX by singing 2 songs in the beloved video game FINAL FANTASY X-2, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies!
