來(lái)自美國(guó)德州休斯頓原名Paul Slayton的Paul Wall，其實(shí)并不是位新人，憑藉自身創(chuàng)作才華與饒舌功力，在地下獨(dú)立界拼出些許名聲，同樣也是位DJ混音高手的他，致力現(xiàn)已廣為流行，引起南岸饒舌界風(fēng)潮的Screwed & Chopped，逐漸發(fā)展成地下流行現(xiàn)象與嘻哈音樂(lè)之藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)形式，將一首歌降低饒舌部分的Pitch，放慢一向快速表現(xiàn)的唸?jiān)~速度，加入更為豐富音效、刮盤(pán)之聲交錯(cuò)其中，漸層快慢間獨(dú)特編排，相當(dāng)適合DJ舞場(chǎng)加以混編運(yùn)用，最早是由美國(guó)休士頓地區(qū)名DJ Screw發(fā)展而來(lái)，儘管Screw於2000死於藥物過(guò)量，但是這種表現(xiàn)方式被越來(lái)越多DJ發(fā)揚(yáng)光大、始為流傳。創(chuàng)作力旺盛的Paul Wall，分別在2002年與工作好伙伴Chamillionaire合出「Get Ya Mind Correct」專(zhuān)輯、2004及2005年「The Chick Magnet」、「Controversy Sells」等三張獨(dú)立大碟，同時(shí)幸運(yùn)加盟主流大廠(chǎng)，率先與同門(mén)師兄Mike Jones合作出每週接獲50萬(wàn)人點(diǎn)播之”Still Tippin’”中，大量曝光下，讓嘻哈迷們無(wú)不引頸企盼Paul Wall個(gè)人新專(zhuān)輯問(wèn)世！
