來(lái)自英倫海峽的British Sea Power是相當(dāng)長(zhǎng)一段時(shí)間內(nèi)聽到的最具個(gè)性聲音的樂(lè)隊(duì)之一，他們被稱為“one of the most innovative, visionary bands of our time”絲毫不夸張，除非聽他們的音樂(lè)，讀他們的歌詞，才能理解這種說(shuō)法——不僅僅表現(xiàn)在毫不掩飾的強(qiáng)烈的個(gè)性化旋律和吉他噪音，恣意的唱腔，清晰的音樂(lè)概念和所營(yíng)造的畫面感，還有其中的人文關(guān)懷和自然主義態(tài)度。
頗為古典主義的專輯封面容易給人錯(cuò)誤的第一印象，如果他們的音樂(lè)在某種程度上接近古典主義，應(yīng)該體現(xiàn)在其文學(xué)色彩上；除此以外，他們的音樂(lè)主題似乎特別偏愛大海，不僅是寬廣浩瀚的大海，還有深不可測(cè)、危機(jī)四伏，將人類的渺小徹底粉碎、吞沒(méi)的大海。
