　　 Peter Kater出生在德國，在他四歲時從慕尼黑搬遷到新澤西州，并在那里開始學(xué)習(xí)鋼琴，三年后學(xué)習(xí)古典音樂和搖滾樂。十八歲時遷到Boulder.并在那成立了earthsea音樂工作室，1983年起Peter Kater開始出唱片。



　　他的作品超過70部電視與電影原聲帶，也包含了11部在百老匯或是其他劇院的演奏，至今已發(fā)行了三十多張專輯，多次獲得格萊美提名，在2003~2010年獲得6次格萊美「最佳新世紀(jì)音樂大獎」提名，并且許多專輯都獲得白金級銷售。
