凱文．培根主演的一部具有年輕人熱力和沖動的歌唱舞蹈片，情節(jié)發(fā)展輕快流暢，攝于霹靂舞流行的1984年。片中有年輕人喜愛的舞蹈和歌曲，且故事本身反映的就是年輕人獨有的理想和反叛性格，特別能引起年輕人的共鳴。片中男主角倫隨母親從大城市芝加哥移居小鎮(zhèn)貝農，該鎮(zhèn)人民的生活和思想幾乎都控制在古板的摩爾神父手中，對來自城市的倫不太友好。倫也對這種欠缺時代精神和違反人性的生活不以為然，并總想通過自己來改變小鎮(zhèn)，于是引進了熱門的音樂舞蹈，最終和摩爾神父發(fā)生了沖突。本片是導演赫伯特．羅斯描寫年輕人生活和心態(tài)的又一杰作。
