《The Lovely Bones 可愛的骨頭》根據(jù)艾麗斯·西伯德的暢銷小說改編而成。故事發(fā)生在1973年，14歲的小女孩蘇茜不幸被一位鄰居強奸殺害。影片就是以升入天堂的蘇西的視角，去關(guān)注此后她的家人與朋友們的動向，包括他們從最初期望蘇茜生還，到后來得知噩耗，又如何克服悲傷，以及兇手運用何種手段來掩蓋罪行等等。面對人間的種種，可憐的蘇西不得不接受她已死亡的現(xiàn)實，但又眷戀著生者的世界，只能年復(fù)一年像幽靈一樣跟隨著她的家人。
