Paradise

美國著名民謠歌手Judy Collins，聯(lián)合國親善大使。在四十年的歌唱生涯中她總共出版了37張專輯、10張精選輯。Judy Collins的父親－Chuck Collins是一個歌手兼歌曲作家，在那個收音機的黃金時代還是一個廣播員。Judy Collins早年在古典鋼琴上有著驚人天賦，10歲時她從師于著名的指揮家Antonia Brico， 13歲那年她初次登臺成功演奏了Mozat的雙鋼琴協(xié)奏曲。她16歲時受Woody Guthrie 和 Pete Seeger的影響，隨著民謠運動的興起和對填詞作曲的熱愛，逐漸把精力從鋼琴上轉(zhuǎn)到吉他上了。很快她在Denver、Boulder和其他Colorado的中心城市的民間俱樂部演唱。在美國東部，她在Chicago的Gate of Horn、New York的Greenwich Village民間俱樂部中演出。1961年，在Village Gate俱樂部演出之后，她被Elektra Records的Jac Holzman看中，開始了長達25年的合作。最初她出版的三個專輯都是傳統(tǒng)題材。



　　美國六十年代是反叛的年代，Judy被當(dāng)時象民間吟游詩人般的Tom Paxton、Phil Ochs 、Bob Dylan的歌所吸引，翻唱了很多他們的歌曲；她還和那個年代最優(yōu)秀的音樂家象Jim (Roger) McGuinn、 Seeger、Byrds等合作。在這個階段Judy第一次錄制了Leonard Cohen的歌曲，正是她的努力使Leonard Cohen、Randy Newman、Joni Mitchell等當(dāng)時知名度不高的歌手得到大眾的認可。



　　緊接著是早期的戲劇運動(dramatic moves)，它確立了Judy的兼容并蓄的風(fēng)格。1966年的專輯In My Life 兼容了各種風(fēng)格，是她的一個標(biāo)志性的專輯。自此，她又開始彈起鋼琴，把她的音樂重新根植于她的表演中。在隨后的專輯Wildflowers中，她讓Joshua Rifkin編導(dǎo)整個專輯的管弦樂部分，這個專輯是她的歌唱生涯的一個轉(zhuǎn)折點，其中的Both Sides Now是她一個重要的單曲，為她贏得了第一個Grammy獎。最感人至深的是Send in The Clowns——1975年Grammy年度最佳單曲。



　　Judy Collins是一個奇跡，她在音樂和政治上的影響力延續(xù)幾十年。她的聲音感染了無數(shù)人。從在Elektra Records的1961年的民謠專輯開始到她現(xiàn)在的新專輯、新歌、電視特輯、書、UNICEF（聯(lián)合國兒童基金會）的工作和她敏銳的意識這一切都充分的證明了Judy是一個具有創(chuàng)造力的和生機勃勃的藝術(shù)家。



　　Judy Collins的嗓音溫柔、清純、明亮、圓潤，就像樂器中的單簧管般的極具有穿透力。她的歌質(zhì)樸、自然、題材廣泛，象Who Knows Where The Time Goes、Farewell to Tarwathie、Both Side Now 、Black Is The Colour Of My True Love’s Hair、Send in The Clowns、Loch Lomond、Amazing Grace等等。她在大量創(chuàng)作的同時也翻唱別人的歌曲，但她在歌里加入自己的詮釋，力求自己的風(fēng)格象Memory、Amazing Grace、Blowing In The wind、Roses等等。
