Can't Be Tamed

麥莉在11歲時參加《孟漢娜》電視系列劇的角色征選，當(dāng)時她征選的角色為孟漢娜的好朋友LilyTruscott，不過面試后劇組希望她出演孟漢娜，但最后因為麥莉年紀太小而作罷。劇組在婉拒麥莉后征試了更多演員，例如在《Gossip Girl》中演出的Taylor Momsen，不過最后劇組仍起用麥莉，并讓她的父親 Billy RayCyrus 親自演出劇中父親的角色。在《孟漢娜》于2006年3月24日在美國首播后，麥莉隨即在美國紅起來，現(xiàn)在已是一位大紅大紫的明星。麥莉可算是遺傳了她父親的歌唱和演戲的天分，她不但會唱歌、演戲，還會作曲。2006年10月24日，迪士尼唱片終于推出了她的專輯，雖然只是電視劇原聲大碟，但意義重大，因為這原聲大碟是Billboard專輯榜史上第一張排行第一的電視劇原聲大碟。2007年，她開始了《Best of Both Worlds》巡回演唱會，場場爆滿，一票難求。
